The Little Panda Children’s Performing Group

The Little Panda Children’s Performing Group (The Little Pandas) was originally founded in 1984, as a performance platform for Lorita Leung Dance Academy’s most talented young students.  During its early years, members of The Little Pandas performed at many prestigious events such as the 1986 Vancouver World Exposition, the Vancouver Children’s Festival, and across Canada, China and the US alongside Lorita Leung Dance Company. In 2010, The Little Panda Children’s Performing Group was renewed and re-established to commemorate LLDA’s 40th Anniversary.

The mission of The Little Panda Children’s Performing Group is to provide further enrichment, performance opportunity, and exposure for Lorita Leung Dance Academy’s most talented and dedicated junior and intermediate students. Admission to The Little Pandas is by invitation of the Artistic Director and faculty members, and is based on the student’s talent, potential, attitude, effort and ability to work as a strong team player.

2016 marks the first year of our current Little Panda Group, and we look forward to seeing this new team of Little Pandas mature and develop over the next several years—forging strong bonds of community and camaraderie while challenging their physical and artistic abilities.
